Columbus Suboxone Doctors, LLC appoints new partner and Medical Director
June 7, 2018
Columbus Suboxone Doctors, LLC welcomes Dr. Mark Stanley, DO as Partner and Medical Director.

What is MAT?
MAT stands for "Medication Assisted Treatment". This can done in both in and outpatient settings. The medications are prescribed to "assist" in recovery of the patient along with counseling. The medications curb the physical need for illicit drugs, while cognitive therapies treat the mental desires to use.

Medications in our addiction fighting arsenal
These medications are the most commonly used "Buprenorphine" products. Each contains a combination of Buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine blocks the cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The Naloxone is present to discourage misuse, thats it.
One of the ways they differ is the way they are absorbed into the body. You and your doctor will decide which one is right for you.
